Watch The Ramones perform their first ever CBGB show
On August 16th, 1974 a newly formed band named The Ramones made their debut at NYC’s legendary CBGB. Punk magazine cofounder Legs McNeil attended the show and had this to say:
“They were all wearing these black leather jackets. And they counted off this song…and it was just this wall of noise…. They looked so striking. These guys were not hippies. This was something completely new.”
