Happy Birthday James Brown
On May 3rd, 1928, The Godfather of Soul, James Brown was born in Macon, Georgia. The above photo was taken by Michael Ochs in 1964. James was performing at the Apollo Theater, the very place that would host his memorial service 42 years later. Check out this classic video of James Brown teaching his legendary dance moves:
