In a behind the scenes look at the making of Paul McCartney’s celebrity-filled new video Queenie Eye (out 10/24) the Beatle legend returns to Abbey Road studios. Starting at the 2:30 mark Paul talks about The Beatles first time in the studio and recording Love Me Do:

So George Martin came down and he said, “Um, John, I wonder if you could just not sing that line and just do the harmonica thing.” He said, “One of the other guys can sing it.” And he looks at me and says “Paul, you can sing it.” And I go, “Yeah, OK.” I’m thinking, “Oh my god,” and everything stops. I’m in Abbey Road, first time ever, and I’ve got to take this lead vocal line, and I know that all the guys back in Liverpool in all the other groups are going to kill me, because it’s not my line. It’s John’s line.
