Nirvana filmed ‘MTV Unplugged’ 20 years ago today

On November 18th, 1993 Nirvana filmed what would become a legendary performance at Sony Music Studios in New York City. Nirvana spurned MTV executives by including a large number of covers and having their friends Meat Puppets appear with them. The recording was also released as an album which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts.
