Video: The world’s first 3D printed record store

Bloc Party lead singer Kele Okerek has released the worlds first 3D printed record. Working with Bacardi and 3D printing maven Amanda Ghassaei the song Down Boy (ft Bobbie Gordon) was released. They even created a pop up record store at The Vinyl Factory in London. From Baccardi:

Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke and his chosen emerging artist, Bobbie Gordon, launched the world’s first 3D printing record store at The Vinyl Factory in central London. ‘Down Boy (BACARDÍ Beginnings)’, became the first track ever to be released on 3D printed record with all sales proceeds going to the national music charity Nordoff Robbins.

At the launch party, Kele and Bobbie debuted ‘Down Boy (BACARDÍ Beginnings)’ to a packed crowd with an energetic performance. Guests at the event were also able to see the 3D printing in action as well as take in the limited edition vinyl sleeves specially designed by Studio Moross, led by Kate Moross.
